Passover 2013

Super Skier

This kid loves to ski. Can't wait for next season.

Bath Time

Below is a picture of the kids after bath time. I think we are getting close to needing to split them up at bath time. They are just getting to big to share the bathtub together. As you can guess we are having to deal with kicking and splashing each other which isn't very fun. But these cute smiles make it all worth it.

X-ray for Piper

A few weekends ago our Havurah got together at Jump Time and lunch at Chicago Connection. Jump Time was a blast. Even the parents joined in. While at Jump Time something happened to Piper's left leg. She was crying and refused to walk on it. We deciding that we needed to take her to get an x-ray of her leg. When we got in the car she started telling us the other leg was the one that hurt her. So at that point we thought, Piper is making things up and decided not to take her. We headed to Chicago Connection for lunch with everyone and when I went to take Piper to the bathroom she would not walk. Not even 2 feet. At that point we decided we needed to get an x-ray of her leg. Since it was a Sunday afternoon her doctor's office was closed so we went to Primary Health. At Primary Healthy they took an  x-ray of her leg and said everything looked fine. On Monday I took Piper to school and got a call about an hour later saying that she was crying and crawling around the classroom because it hurt to walk. At that point I went to her doctors office to see what they thought. Dr. Shaffer (Dr. Booth doesn't work on Monday) thought that it was likely the lower leg not the upper leg. The upper leg was the part that we had already had an x-ray of. Since she was starting to walk on her leg we decided instead of having another x-ray (this time of the lower leg) we would give it a few days to see if it got better. The moral of the story is that her leg got better and she made it to school on Tuesday.

I think really what happened is that she did hurt her leg but that while some time (~48 hours) it did get better. I'm so relieved that she didn't actually break her leg. I can't even imagine what our lives would be like with a 2 1/2 year old that can't walk. Since I hate to post without photos I have added a few that were taken over the last month or so. Enjoy.

Poppy's Birthday

Below is a photo of the family taking Poppy out to dinner for his 54th Birthday. We decided to take him to the "fancy restaurant" (also known as Kyoto) for dinner. The kids love going to Kyoto for dinner. They are getting really good at using the chopsticks.

Pennington Rides a Two Wheel Bike

We decided to put Pennington on a 2 wheel bike without training wheels a few weekends ago and he could do it. Below are a few videos of the kids riding bikes.

Of course when you learn to ride a 2 wheel bike you must get a new one. Below is a video of Pennington on his new 16 inch 2 wheel bike. Tonight we rode to Bown Crossing and back and Pennington rode the whole way. So proud of my little boy.

Spring Skiing

Below are some videos of the kids skiing this weekend at Brundage. Last ski trip of the season. So excited for next season when the real ski lessons will begin. Enjoy.
