Vacation 2013 - Day 1

Our big 10 day vacation began on Saturday August 24th. This was the first time we had taken the kids further than McCall, Idaho (roughly 2 hours from Boise).

Our first day we traveled to Emigrant Springs State Park at the top of the blue mountains outside of Pendleton Oregon.

We rented a totem cabin to stay in for one night on our way to Seattle. The kids got there Jr. Ranger badges by dissecting owl pelts and the family attend the evening program about the wild life in the area. We ended the evening with smores.
