Vacation 2013 - Day 2

On our second day we headed from Emigrant Springs to Seattle. When we got to Seattle we checked into our hotel (first time the kids had slept in a hotel) and then headed to the Woodland Park Zoo.

We decided to purchase the Seattle City Pass which got us admission into 6 Seattle sites one being the Woodland Park Zoo.

The Woodland Park Zoo is probably 3 or 4 times bigger than the Boise Zoo. The kids got to see Orangutans, a Hippopotamus, Elephants, and other animals that the Boise Zoo doesn't have.

After the zoo we headed to the Seattle Sounders game against the Portland Timbers. We participated in marching to the stadium with the Sounders band and other Sounders fans.

We had great seats at the game but had to stand the entire game. Soccer fans are really into the games that they usually stand the entire game. The kids were able to stand on the seats in front of us to they were able to see. The game had over 67 thousand attendees which was the largest attendance at any soccer game in the northwest. Taking the kids to the game was definitely one of my favorite things we did on the trip. The kids did awesome at the game. Below are some photos from day 2.
