Decorating the Baby's Room

Decorating the baby's room was so much fun even though it was a bit challenging at times since Jesikah was on a mission to make the room as toxic free as possible. We decided to go with a "Jungle Theme" for the room. Jesikah was able to find jungle themed organic bedding from Baby Gap Home. We also went to our favorite home improvement store "Home Depot" to get VOC free paint to paint the walls. The nice thing about VOC free paint is that it is safe for pregnant women so Jesikah was able to help paint the room. However, as you might have all guessed, Johnny did do most of the painting. Right now the room is not 100% complete because we still waiting on our dresser and changing table. We should have everything in order by the end of June so stay tuned for more pictures. Below are some pictures of the room as of the end of May.

Baby Shower's

Jesikah was lucky enough to have not one but two baby showers. Jesikah's sorority sister Laura Shelton had a baby shower for her in April. Laura designed the cutest baby shower invitation with a picture of pregnant Jesikah on the front. The inside of the invitation read "Ten little fingers, Ten little toes, Be it a boy or girl, Nobody knows!" One of the most memorable events at the shower was having all the guests make onesies for the little one. Below is a picture of some of the guests from the shower and a picture of the baby shower invitation.

Jesikah's mom and two of her closest friends Julie Haller and Michal Voloshen had a baby shower for her in May. Friends and family from Boise were invited. Jesikah's mother also designed a really cute baby shower invitation with jungle animals. One of the most memorable events was having all the guests make the little guy a birthday card with advise. The little guy has enough birthday cards for the first 21 years of his life. Below is a picture of Jesikah surrounded by a mountain of gifts and a picture of the invitation.

Ultrasounds of Baby Luangaphay

One really awesome thing about doing Inverto Fertilization (IVF) is that you get to to have lots of ultrasounds. The first picture is off the two embryos that were implanted. Not sure which one is our little guy but our guess is the other one was suppose to be his sister. This photo was taken the week of Thanksgiving 2008.

The second picture is of Baby Luangaphay on January 10th. This means he was approximately 8 weeks old. That round circle is not his head it is the yoke sac.

The third picture is of Baby Luangaphay on February 3rd. This means he was approximately 12 weeks old. For those of you that have no idea what you are looking at this is a profile of the baby laying on his back. This head is on the right side and his feet are on the left.

Right now Jesikah can't seem to find the pictures from the 20 week ultrasound but when she finds them she will definitely post them.
