Riding Bikes to the Botanical Gardens

A few weeks ago the kids and I rode our bikes to the botanical gardens. Piper was in the bike trailer and Pennington rode his bike basically the whole way to the botanical gardens and then part of the way back. I think it is about 4 miles or ride from our house to the botanical gardens. I was so impressed. Pennington has turned into quite the little biker. While I don't have any photos of Pennington riding his bike I do have a few photos of the kids at the gardens. Enjoy!

Being Jewish

Friday morning K'tanim group has ended as the school year comes to a close. It has been so great to have the kids be involved in Jewish activities once a week. We are looking forward to next year's events on Wednesday evenings. Below is a silly picture of Piper at K'tanim.

Uncle Henry is Home

Uncle Henry is home for a few weeks before he heads up to Fairbanks Alaska for the next few years. Below is a picture of the kids picking Uncle Henry up at the airport.

Mother's Day - 2013

Each of the kids classrooms had a special mothers day event. Piper's class invited the moms to join them for lunch and Pennington's class invited the moms for muffins and music. Below is a picture of Piper and I at lunch. Piper gave me a nice painted pink glass container with a handle made lots of color beads and a candle inside.
Pennington's class sang a few song of which I have a video of with no sound. I will have to see if I can get the video from another mom. Below is a picture of Pennington and me. Pennington gave me a painted tile.

Happy Monthers Day!!!

Uncle Elliott, Uncle Henry and GG Birthday

Last night we celebrated a belated Uncle Elliott birthday, an early Uncle Henry birthday and GG (Grams) birthday. Below is a family picture of the whole gang.

Shabbat on the Lake - 2013

For Memorial Day weekend the family attending the Synagogue Retreat known as Shabbat on the Lake. The retreat is up in McCall at Camp Ida Haven. Our family along with Nonni, Poppy and Uncle Ben shared a one room cabin. Lots of our Jewish friends were there. We enjoyed celebrating Shabbat, eating delicious vegetarian food, crafts, canoeing, playing in a tree house, playing chess on a big chess board, building sand castles, a talent show, volleyball, cookie decorating, baking competition, smores, singing songs by the camp fire and so much more. We are definitely going to make this a yearly event. While I didn't take a look of pictures I do have a few to share below.

Swim Lessons - 2013

For the month of May the kids took swim lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the YMCA. This year they were in the Pike class which is the first class you could be in without a parent. The kids did a great job and both passed the class with flying colors. We are looking forward to getting in our pool within the next week or so. Below are some pictures from swim lessons.
